Chain Reaction Cycles (UK) has some pretty great deals on Gloworm lights right now. These are primarily for mountain biking and are overkill for standard use on the road. Best deal is probably the X2 Adventure for ~$130. Price is $146.99, but there is currently a $20 off coupon for clearance orders over $150, so a $3.01 filler brings the price down to $130 shipped (less than 50% of list price). The larger XS series also has some great prices.

and well integrated wireless remotes. A really nice feature for a helmet light. I kind of agree on price and started with much cheaper lights, but many cheap lights overheat and power throttle very quickly. The Gloworms (and some other higher end brands) put out their advertised output for a good long runtime
