I couldn't bring myself to buy the chainsaw, but I saw that power inverter and thought that could be useful in an emergency so used the coupon on that instead. Thanks for sharing
I didn't do much browsing on the site, I bet there are a few good deals to stack it on. Big tree blew over and missed my house and everything else by 2 feet and suddenly I needed a chainsaw since best quote I got to chop it up and carry away was $3600. I picked up some extra chains too.
I'm always tempted to jump into the greenworks brand due to the wide array of tools (like vacuums and pressure washers) that ego doesn't have. I'm assuming the 60v line is their main lineup, it's odd that several of their most powerful/largest equipment are 60v and not 80v.

That is just trying to take advantage of someone in need. Some HVAC people do the same in the summer when your AC goes out.

if it's just a one-time thing, then Lowes offers tool rental which works out cheap for you. Recently I rented a chain saw for 4 hours for $50 bucks which includes gas.

Yeah but then you don't get to use the situation as an excuse to buy a new toy 😎
Can 80v Kobalt batteries work in this with modifications
Yes, you just need to modify the plastic bits so the battery will slide in the slot. Either remove some of the rails in the battery slot of the chainsaw or cut some extra grooves in the side of the battery. The battery terminals and electronics are identical.

I have the 80v Greenworks mower and a bunch of Kobalt 80v yard tools and batteries. I used a dremel with a sanding drum bit to shave away the plastic rail in the mower battery bay that is just slightly lower than the slot on the Kobalt batteries. It has worked great for me for over a year.

Modifying batteries over 50v is probably not a good idea unless you're qualified
