Rtings NANO75 (2021) Series Review
Rtings reviewed a 65" ADS/IPS panel TV with low/mediocre contrast levels.
This 70" TV features a VA Panel with higher contrast levels... therefore, since
Rtings heavily weighs contrast levels in their ratings, the movie and gaming ratings will be higher for this TV than the Rtings review indicates.

Not able to find any reviews for the 70" and price history. Looks like a good deal at a glance, any info?

Here's a video unboxing/review of the 50" (VA Panel) model. Should perform somewhat similarly...

FWIW... LG 70" NANO75 Review snippets from Consumer Reports:
HD Picture Quality: 4/5
UHD Picture Quality: 4/5
Motion Handling: 3/5
Viewing Angle: 2/5 (narrow viewing angle due to VA Panel)
Sound Quality: 4/5 (among the best tested)
HDR Performance not very effective due to only 250 - 275 nits of peak brightness.
Best suited for a dark/dim viewing environment.

How is the picture quality between IPS and VA?

Personally, on monitors I swear by IPS, but have not used any VA panels lately so don't know if they improved significantly or not.

As mentioned in the thread description... Rtings reviewed the 65" model with and ADS/IPS panel (low/mediocre contrast ratio). This 70" version has a VA Panel (higher contrast ratio), so a lot of Rtings' review will not hold true. Since Rtings heavily weights contrast ratio, especially in their movie and gaming ratings, this 70" will have higher ratings than their review suggests. There's not much review info around on the VA Panel version, so youtube videos and Consumer Reports' take on the VA Panel are referenced in posts #3 and #4.

I have a 75 with a VA panel. For dark movies, don't recommend. For sports? Great for the money.

Any thoughts on the 65 Nanocell NANO85. Its native 120 and $100 more with 3 year warranty from Costco. I actually do not want to go over 65 in size

Debating going budget and just getting the UQ8000 for 549 for 65

Reviewers are not kind to IPS panel TVs but I definitely prefer them over budget VA panels. I just went with a 65" IPS TV over a budget Samsung after comparing them side by side for 4 days. Budget VA panels look hazy and dull to my eyes when compared to IPS displays.

While the OLED is next level. It also isn't just a few pennies more.
