As far as I know, the Pros actually omit the aptX codec, but add LDAC (both only matter for Android users; iOS will use AAC, which both support). LDAC uses more battery life if you use it, because it transmits a LOT more data (higher audio quality). But you won't really notice a difference unless you're actually playing high-bitrate/lossless audio files.

Basically, unless you need higher audio quality to match your high fidelity audio files, then it's not really a huge upgrade.

I've got the original Liberty Air 2's. I love them, and I think they have great sound quality. I wonder if the pros are any better sound wise. How did you hear about this deal?

I'm looking for a cheap set of earbuds for podcasts. Low bass. The plan is that my wife and I each get one earbud. Then we can listen to pod casts while driving while the children listen to their DVDs over the car speaker and not use headphones.

I've been learning more about headphones lately. I think you might like a) Kbear stellar or b) ve monk earbuds. Cheap, excellent sound, per audiophiles. Those are wired though. If you want wireless, "sound peats" make similar stuff to Anker too, but lil cheaper

I was just looking at earphones today. Was going to get the Earfun Free Pro 2, but these are the same price. Anyone have an opinion?

Interesting comparison. After reading more, I see the Anker app is super impressive. After seeing all it can, I'm going to Best Buy to get a pair!

I want to try the earfun line too. No app, but there may be a hack to tweak it's eq. The earfun is "dark and sharp", so maybe consider that in your personal sound preference.

Oluv compares the liberty with the earfun 1 using his binaural setup in one of his videos. I can't listen RN, but grab your best headphones and listen for a comparison. The binaural demos / reviews on YT are a great preview of the sound to expect,

I can't make my mind up. Also looking at the other Soundcore Life P3, which is very similar to the Air 2 Pro. Those are about the same price for me (using CC promo + 10% off coupon) and have better battery life.

Good points. I'd like to add that with today's large capacity memory, there really isn't a need to compress audio files anymore, especially if the user is listening from their own collection.
