This seems hot, these are shuckable and have the Exos drive in them as best as I can tell.

Does anyone know the difference between the older STEB14000400 and this newer one STKP14000400? Bought a bunch last year, and wanted to know if I can expect the same caliber drive on this updated model?

You can run something like CrystalDiskInfo if on Windows which is an app that will report back some info of the internal HDD. hdparm also works if you're running a Linux O/S. What most folks want is the model number of the disk itself.

Yep. I ended up shucking it on Sunday. Destroyed most of the clips, but the drive tested fine. Ended up getting the synology faster than expected.
