Made in China, if anyone cares.

Reviews are all over the place, most poor ones seem like the people don't know how to cook to begin with, so their review is pointless. Good reviews seem to be from people who have only owned the pan for a couple weeks or so, which again, makes them pointless.

Beyond all of that though, a $1.50 off reg price is not an SD, or really any deal for any unknown and or untested cookware.

As I've mentioned in the past, I have 30+ years experience cooking...if you are someone who just needs a couple pans to cook an occasional meal, these are probably just fine. Everyday cooks would probably do well to pass on these however, there are much better options out there, though maybe not as cheap, but known for their quality and longevity.

I'd put these (at this point in their life) in the better safe than sorry catagory and pass.
Cast Iron!

It really depends on your budget though. Cast Iron is a must for extreme heat cooking. But Stainless Steel and Carbon are great too.

Brands I like are All-Clad, Made In, Calphalon, Lodge and Tramontina. There are other options, but you're talking high price range that no average home chef needs. Mauviel, Matfer Bourgeat, Fissler and Viking. All great brands and high quality.

If cooking is a passion however, stop looking for a deal and buy the best you can afford, test cookware you're interested in and move to whatever you like the most.

I started with handed down Farberware, bought a few now discountinued Calphalon pieces, tried and liked All-Clad and Viking (too pricy for me) and now use a combination of my old Calphalon set and All-Clads.

Hope this helps, cheers,

Anyone use these pans before? Hesitant as at that low a price it makes one wonder how they actually are.

Thanks. Anything you can suggest for high heat cooking?

Diamok, yes exactly. Only induction users should consider this and only if results don't matter and they've won a free-food-for-life contest. @srhearts non-stick can't be used on high neat. Other than for stir-frying veggies I never use high heat. Buy a pan made for high heat which is compatible with your cooktop

I know many people swear by those stores, but for me, when using something to prepare food, I just do not trust where and how those stores aquired those products and the state/quality of said pieces.

I am not knocking anyone who buys from them, if you can get a great price on a great product from a place you trust, by all means, do it. It's just me, I'm weird.

Would these be alright for car camping? I just usually use retired pans but mine are all scratched up and pretty beat up. These would be used like 3 - 6 times a year probably

I have these, excellent quality at this price point. I've cooked with all-clad, calphalon, etc. These aren't that level of course but again, for the price they're a big upgrade to similarly-priced Walmart starter sets.

One more thing...I'm not saying Amazon didn't have these pans specifically made for them, but if you look at this listing on Alibaba [alibaba.com], there are clearly similarities between the pans shown here and the on in the listing.

I like to do as much research as I can when buying cookware, I go to Alibaba often when researching to see if something I'm considering is being mass produced that can be purchased by any company to sell.
