I will play devil's advocate here but this thing is literally cheap molded plastic with an okay battery tester. It does serve its purposes well but when you toss the packaging you may toss the exp date too. Also, it's annoying if you have 10D batteries but only 8 slots…then you're back to throwing the excess in a junk battery drawer again.

Its good at what it does but I did not feel my life changed despite what others may have you believe. I could take it or leave it. It seems odd to buy a new pack of nicely packaged batteries with manufacture/expiration dates then dump them into the battery daddy.
I have had two of these for years and really like them - it's probably one of the few As Seen on TV products I'd recommend. I previously had a Range Kleen Battery Organizer Storage Case [amazon.com], but like the Battery Daddy so much I gave away the Range Kleen case.

Take care,

You took the words right out of my mouth. You may have more of a certain battery than it can hold and I also like to know the expiration dates. The one thing this does have going for it is it will prevent a (+) end from contacting a (-) end of another battery which I've heard is an infinitesimal chance of creating a spark but one still notable.

I have mine in a small box - most in packages and some not but all standing up. It's not perfect but I put a tester in there and it will fit in my space whereas this one here doesn't look stackable and a bit awkward finding a place for it. To me this thing looks more of a travel item than something you'd keep at home. I can't imagine myself ever saying: "-Oop! Going my friend's today -- better make sure I bring my battery suitcase..."

11¢ more at Costco's website shipping and handling included.
I don't have Prime but I do have a Costco membership.

Looks like just about what I need.

Bought this when it was on sale before. No regrets. Now, all my batteries are organized.

I think I've reached the point in my life where convenience > money. In for 1… much nicer with organizers and containers than boxes of products sitting around everywhere

Totally worth it. Bought during the last deal from Costco. Good organization, especially when considering all the batteries for the kid's toys.

Smart way to deal with batteries. I got one for me and my BIL recently. Saves me from buying too many, or throwing away perfectly good batteries.

Great price, great product. Pro tip: after putting batteries in, use some masking tape or a label maker on the clear lid to note the expiration of the batteries.

Got mines 2 weeks ago as a WooHoo clearance at my local Ralphs for $10. YMMV of course.

I bought one in the Costco deal. If I were to redesign it, I'd stick all of the AA and AAA in back and make more room for D in front. I usually don't keep 78 AA batteries on hand but I do go through D's.

As a total "dad", this thing is awesome. I got it last Christmas and at first I thought it was lame, until I used it. Now I love it. Dads will love the organization of it all. I thought it was a gimmick but the battery tester even came in handy one day to show me which one needed replacing. Definitely a "dad" type gift that they'd love for fathers day.
