I've had this since last summer and it's held up pretty well with around 100 hours of total cook time. Grabbed it last year in store for $197.00 so I didn't have to pay the freight charge, but I'd say it's worth it.
I bought one and used it a few times. It's not terrible, but I'm getting out of pellets. I tried selling it at my garage sale three separate and on Craigslist for $100. No takers. I still have it, but I need to find a place to store it till someone eventually buys it.
What I liked about it:
Size - It's a really large grill with plenty of room for whatever you would want to cook
Hopper - The hopper holds a 20lb bag
App - The app works well
Quiet - Auger is quiet, and I had no issues such as pellets getting stuck
What I didn't like:
Size - Cleanup of the grates is a hassle because they are so huge
Metal - The metal is thin on this smoker, and it seemed to me it would have been fairly inefficient to maintain temp on long smokes.
Temp - Initially, the temperature has really wide swings. Eventually I think it settles down, but not the first hour
Results - It's not entirely this smoker, as it was my second pellet smoker. I didn't get the results that I look for with ribs and chicken.
Sold it, finally! The guy who bought it seemed ecstatic, and good for him. He lives in a row house neighborhood with a small yard. A pellet smoker should work great for him.
I've switched back to using an offset smoker, and I am making the best BBQ of my life. Once you master fire management, easily done after watching YouTube videos on the subject, you'll make the best BBQ of your life too! Offset smokers create BBQ joint quality.
