Honest question. What makes it worth the premium price? Looks? Brand? Or does it actually blow better? (the last bit was for fun, rest I do want to know)

Bought this last time. It looks cool but not worth the money. If you're using it to cool a room, you're better off getting a $20 Costco tower fan

It's $40 more from eBay's Outlet sale with the 15% off coupon but because it is eBay certified refurb, it comes with a two year Allstate warranty. Probably worth it for a refurb product when Dyson only covers it for six months.

I agree. Dyson fans are super cool looking but extremely fragile. The fan inside, depending on your location, will collect dust and will start making noise or just dies on you on day. It all depends on your location though. If like us, you live in the middle of the downtown of a populous city with lots of air pollution, you definitely need an air filter, but a Dyson in this case will have a maximum life expectancy of 9 months. You will be much better of if you go with other brands like Levoit, Coway, or Alen depending on your budget and the size of your home. If you live where air is clean AND you want to look cool, then go with a Dyson. It won't die as quickly and it will add an element of coolness to your home.

Especially for the Dyson
My lady doesn't say it, but I know she thinks it.

I agree with this. In addition, as a person with dust allergies, I will say that it's easier to clean consistently than a bladed fan.
