I have this spinner and bought this for $150 when it was on sale. Now it is even cheaper under $100.
The lowest I can find this at $127.99 from Macy's or $157.49 from the manufacturer's website https://shop.samsonite.com/luggag...42849.html

Manufacturer's responsibility to honor their claimed warranty and workman ship. So if the Brand item you purchased is dead on arrival, you're just gonna eat it and shrug your shoulders?
Samsonite!! I was way off, I knew it started with an S though
So you will return bags that break due to airlines and airports but have Costco / manufacturer foot the bill?

Looks pretty decent for the price imo and probably better than the TJ Maxx or Ross offerings for the same price (but not that much).

Honestly I am going to just wait for the next sale from a Costco though, as checked luggage will inevitably all break.

I think he is. I'm very shocked someone would do this.

I had this kind of wheels fall apart on me on an older samsonite. This is when pushing the luggage across Tokyo streets, between hotels, trains and airports. The wheels just disintegrate and split right down the middle into two halves.

It depends on how long these last. Abuse from airlines is expected, so if these don't last, I'm not sure I would blame the airlines. Same thing if the wheels don't last. Who are you going to blame then, the streets?

I bought the carry-on version like 5 years ago. I've checked it in a few times and it's traveled its way to at least a dozen countries. The most abuse is probably cobblestone roads in Europe and whatever the luggage handlers throw at it. There's a few tiny cracks in the shell but nothing structural has broken.

The biggest issue I've had was one of the bolts holding the handle snapped while transporting it down a flight of stairs. I asked Samsonite for a replacement set (twice, I think?) and I've had zero follow up to my requests. Good thing I saved the handle because I just fixed it myself with a replacement bolt from Home Depot.
