It's been this price every-other week for months, the real deal was $249 a couple of weeks ago. If you really want one (the keyboard is horrible), wait for that price before buying.
Tried a pixel slate and it was unwieldy as a tablet with the large screen. Been using a Lenovo duet for the last couple of weeks, love the battery life and size, but either the chip is slow, or 4gb is not enough RAM(leaning more heavily toward the latter theory). Kinda wanting to upgrade the RAM, but unsure how that would play out with the OS(Yes, warranty would be dead, soldering in new ram and all that).

This is a great tablet if you're using in tablet form more than laptop form

Good to hear! I'm guessing multitasking, such as watching a movie and playing a web based game(hero wars in my case) works with little stutter, like it did on the 8gb m3 pixel slate?

I'm more of the opinion that it's a light media-usage tablet. It can stutter a bit with intensive apps, chrome browsing, and the battery isn't that great in my opinion. I've found the Duet 5 is better in those regards than this HP. However, the build quality and form factor of this HP is top notch, just lacking some internal firepower

Are you saying that it will stutter even with Chrome Browsing? Chrome isn't a intensive application but it uses more memory and 8GB ram is more than enough for that. Also, when you're referring intensive apps, are you referring native Chromebook web apps or Android apps?

I have this tablet.
Highly recommend.
Pros:
1. 8GB of RAM
2. Screen
3. Build quality
4. two USB C
5. Back cover/stand
Cons:
1. A bit heavy
This tablet is just great. Realize you don't have a intel or AMD CPU but this CPU is fast enough for most tasks.
I use this device mostly as a tablet and I keep the keyboard off most of the time.
