Looks like they lowered all the open box prices as well!
I just bought a G1 65" Open Box Excellent condition for $1,291.99 plus tax at my local store!
Great deal! You still get the five year warranty through Best Buy as well. I have a feeling that a lot of those open box returns are from people who didn't realize that the G1 doesn't come with a stand. Good luck!
I have 1 big window in my living room that gets plenty of light throughout the day, so honestly how good would the G1 do there?
Would it be watchable without a lot of glare or reflections?
I have a 77" G1 with 2nd story sun windows (living room ceiling is 20 feet tall, it's direct windows seem to effect it the most not much from the side. I bought mines brand new though green-toe which came from beach camera last month. I had to put blinds up on the dinning room sun windows as they were direct but after doing so picture is more than acceptable, I find the tv super bright at night to the point where I need to switch modes. My only complain is the internal OS is bogged down and slow, however this is a fix on Reddit to remove all adverts, the speed was fixed in the C2 G2, but those won't come down to these prices for another year, and with inflation who knows if they would be at this price., as there MSRP went up $200 each.

I see one near me as well but what are the hours? That's my only concern. If it's store display that they call open box, it could have a lot of hours. It's not worth it then.
I got the C1 refurbished from MicroCenter for $1200 with 228hrs. This would be a better deal with the EVO panel (brighter). I wall mount my tv's anyways, not an issue with the G1.
I have ordered a C1 from Costco that hasn't shipped yet for this same price (but it included extras, like 3 year allstate ). I am planning to wallmount as flush with the wall as possible.
Worth cancelling and getting this? I don't know much about TVs
edit: I just saw the 65" C1 from Costco is 100 less than what I paid, so assuming I can price adjust, the question is: is it worth staying with the C1 (and warranty) for $100 less?

Wow. They have the same open box deal near me. But don't need a tv. Decisions decisions. Did you pick yours up yet?
