Woot has the Black and Decker Max 20V lithium ion drill driver with 30 piece accessory set, battery, charger for $34.99 with free shipping. This offer is available to Amazon Prime members only.
I had this, fine for home use, but the vast majority of the B&D 20v tools are pretty substandard.
The Ryobi One+ 28v line is far superior, and plenty of deals posted here from Direct Tools Outlet and Home Depot.
I tend to agree; Ryobi is winning over a lot of people with their unbelievable One+ deals. I snagged the string trimmer/blower/4AH battery/charger deal for $50 shipped the other day. Before that I got a 1/2" drill/driver and a P717 spotlight (man that spotlight is a beast) for $40 for both. Somehow got a cordless sprayer and large capacity tank thrown in for free with that order. Prior to that it was a P235 impact with battery and charger for $39. So yeah I'm a convert. Much higher caliber tools than B&D, and the deals just keep coming. My old B&D drill driver still sees plenty of bench use and does great there, but I'm careful not to ask too much of it.
I have a family member who runs a production facility; they run bunches of cordless tools 12 hours a day more or less. He's been buying Dewalt but even those only last a certain amount of time before having to be replaced, so he always keeps spare new ones on hand for when an old one finds the trash can. Lately I've been telling him about the Ryobi deals that have been popping up, and he has ordered a group of them to give them a try in his industrial application. The logic being that any tool he buys will wear out relatively quickly in that environment, which has already been proven. So if a tool costs 15 or 20 percent of what he's spending now on Dewalts, but lasts half as long, he's still saving quite a bit and his crew gets shiny new tools more often. I'm curious to see how this little experiment works out.
I have a B&D 20V Max lawn trimmer with two batteries, so this with a 3rd battery seems to be a good deal. I wouldn't consider it except for the exchangeable battery system in my case
If you wait for a deal on one, yes you should be able to pick one up for that. I got a factory blem 1/2" ONE+ drill driver the other day from Direct Tools Factory Outlet for $11.99, but it was bare tool, no battery or charger. Getting the complete setup (w/battery, charger) is probable for $35-$40. The other day there was a Ryobi 1/2" hammer drill driver with battery and charger for $33 shipped (new blem). Much higher grade of tool than B&D, is the consensus.
Saw that a few days ago. Missed the shipping option and nearest pickup point is a 2 hour drive. 5 gallons of gas would more than double the price. Thank you though

Would this connect to a B&D trimmer meant for a 40V battery?
