You can use this unit as is for ice fishing and it works great. You just need to keep the boat transducer level. That's what I do and it works just fine.

There is a "bundle" option, too. It includes the flasher, carrying case, and a battery and charger.. It uses the same transducer as this one, though.

I use it with the included transducer for ice fishing also. Works fine. This thing has held up well.
