    It was. The base config was $550 for R5 5600X / 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD. It was another $40 to bump it up to a 512GB SSD. I used the 512GB pricing to compare apples to apples here. But you could get that model for as low as $550 if you planned on upgrading the storage yourself.

    Do you think you could build that for $590? I'm looking for a budget gaming build right about the $600 mark. Willing to go used on GPU if I can get better or equal performance to new.

    Google the model number (TG01-2022) which will give you a link to HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2022 PC Product Specifications [hp.com]. You can see that the PC comes with 1 x 8GB DDR4 RAM module. From there you can go to Motherboard Specifications [hp.com] which will tell you that there are two RAM sockets. So, one RAM socket is empty for an easy upgrade.
