FYI- This version of Happy card is the PHYSICAL plastic card that will be shipped to you. It's basically a white-listed prepaid Visa that can only be used to shop at Regal, Game Stop, Ulta, Yankee, Cold Stone and Sally.

It's NOT the kind of Happy card where you go online to Blackhawk and 'Swap' for $50 worth of retailers' gift cards.

I consider 15% off to be the typical deal for Happy Cards as I always have multiple AmEx offers for that every few months that I can stock it up for later redemption. Meijer is also offering 15% bonus.

I wasn't saying it was a bad thing, just pointing out the difference.

My local Game Stop don't carry much selection in physical cards that I like or I'd jump on this. With 5% Chase Visa CB it's $40.37.

Can you use Happy card to buy any GC (like amazon and ebay) at Gamestop? I know you cannot use typical gamestop GC to buy those non-gaming GCs.

meijer deal is 13%, and without the chase freedom 5% cb on amazon.

I don't know if I qualify as an expert, but I've done it twice. I just swipe it as credit. It asks for the number on the back, so to avoid embarrassment I usually scratch off the silver coating beforehand, but it goes through.

The good thing with a physical card that works like pre-paid credit card is that one may get cash in refund. I returned something at Lowe's that I paid with a plastic Happy Card. Since I don't have the plastic card anymore, they refunded me in cash.

Yes, its a prepaid Visa so you just swipe it like normal then cashier has to enter last 4 digits of card -- I'll usually just read it out loud for them

Have used them at multiple stores around Chicago suburbs without issue depending on which location I'm passing by

They should have Amazon and eBay -- was hoping they would have gas cards but most locations around me don't have them (one location had Shell but I would rather have BP or Mobil)

They also have an expiration date on them unlike "gift cards." It is a couple of years so there is plenty of time to use it, but it does expire. Be prepared to teach the cashier how to use it especially at Lowe's and other stores where not all cashiers have seen them.
