Seems like a decent deal for a cheap laptop for light use.
I needed a cheap machine to replace an old Core2Duo laptop I only use for automotive diagnostic software, the battery doesn't last more than 10mins anymore. This will be more than enough for that with way better battery life.

Thanks, I had been looking the past month or so and haven't seen much in this price range with these features. Lots of refurbished stuff with older CPUs which I try to avoid.

This would have been good (if your could stretch budget and don't mind the soldered ram).
I've seen 1225G quad core 8GB IPS usbC power for under $400 before, just need to wait a bit (and maybe ram is soldered)

Not gonna be easy to find a machine with these performance specs including backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader and USB-C with power options for under $350... especially with runaway inflation increasing every month and people choosing between food or gas.
