This is why you use a credit card. Dispute the purchase as it is not what was ordered, aka not working! Credit card company will pull their funds an hold it for arbitration. They won't give them the funds back unless they fix it or they'll return it to you as long as you give it back. Or if they don't!5 arbitrate at all you get your money and the tools.
Never buying from Direct Tools again.

I bought a couple refurbished, and a Blem a few weeks back.

And from the items I received, one of the Ryobi (Refurb) and 1 of the Ridgid (Blem) items that I got, were DOA.

I emailed them, with all the info, and they told me I had to go thru warranty with both items.... meaning there is a zero exchange policy.

I've never bought anything, anywhere, that I received broken that did not do an exchange right away.

So, be warned, if you buy from DTO, know that you will be gambling. And if you have to do a warranty on Ryobi, and especially Ridgid, it will be another level of frustration.

So, on a higher dollar item like this, RUN away from Direct Tools Outlet.
Dewalts planer (The 735 at least) has been the best of the "Big Box Store Brands" planers for years. It's a good enough planer of you are a DIY'er, and it's 100x better than the Ridgid.

(Fyi: Home Depot has the Dewalt with the blades and feed tables for $599 right now.)

Fantastic. Glad I waited. Not as good as the deal before at 249, but I'll take it.
They also have the Factory Recon at 196 (https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...ct/ZRR4331), but this is way better.

It's in stock in stores - which is the only place that I would buy a big and heavy reconditioned item for ease of returning it in case there is any problem or shipping damage.

Best of luck with that

The times I have done it, it has been very quick for both my HD and DTO purchases. So no issues to report here with my LSA registrations

Got this a few years ago as factory blemished and it showed up with no issues at all. It looked brand new. No problem with LSA registration. It has functioned perfectly and it is nice to be able to get new blades at home depot. Good price and great planer if the size fits your needs. I've planed soft and hard woods up to oak with no problems.

Same as the other commenter. The only time I had trouble at all was registering a vacuum until I learned LSA for vacuums and plumbing tools is through a different site.

Did you have an actual problem or do you just not trust it?
