Good price, but, personally, I would only buy a large, cumbersome, hard to ship, reconditioned item from Direct Tools if I had a store nearby to pick it up at and/or return it to in case there are any problems and to avoid possible (probable?) shipping damage.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from DT and have not had any issues, knock on wood. Because it's factory reconditioned, I expect it to be pretty well packed. At least I hope so!

I went hunting for the 12" deal ($160) a few days ago, but all the Home Depots that had them in stock had them at $300. For $150 after tax and shipping, this is all I need. In for one. Thanks, op!

Factory reconditioned packaging was always hit or miss for me. The blem ones were always the well packed retail boxes.

If you are not in a rush better to wait. It has gone much lower before. But again with inflation, not sure if this is a good price.

Bought this last time it was on sale. Very capable saw. Shipped in a huge box with no packing material and was clearly tossed around inside the box (couple of bent parts, some parts protruding from tears in the box, etc.). Throat plate was significantly scratched up, but I'm guessing it's from the previous user and not the shipping. Tracked down their replacement part site, but most things are out of stock.

There's a difference between 'Factory Reconditioned' and 'Factory Blemished'. I screwed myself with a reconditioned pressure washer… it was totally abused and the rod and hose leaked everywhere. Buy 'blemished' or run a much higher risk.

I bought this a few months ago for $90. It had a few defects but I cought them and contacted support. I just used it for crown molding, wood floor and a fence outside. I'm super happy with it. Great purchase. I also recommend the 18 guage 18v rigid nailer. It's probably one of the most convenient tools I've ever used.
