Make sure you check the CPU pins on the back that there are none bent or missing. If they are bent and you want to risk fixing it yourself, https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/How+...ins/140367

Great price though for the processor
Its probable that some a hole put back a lesser chip and Amazon is none the wiser. I would make sure you have the right chip first.

I don't know about "probable," but this has happened to me twice on Amazon used items. Then, the potential problem becomes that Amazon thinks that *you* are the scammer if they happen to check the box contents. I called them each time to thoroughly explain what happened.

Good point. Probable is the wrong word here. I would say there is definitely a elevated chance this happens especially on such an easy item like a CPU (they all look the same on the surface).
I plan on video recording the entire unboxing so that doesn't happen. Is it a bit overkill, yeah. I've also been screwed on some high value items on AW before.

Amazon won't make a problem as long as you are a Prime member within 30 days. Sometimes you do have to call them but they are aware of this happening so usually they're ok. Whoever bought it, good luck! My intention was to give someone a chance at a good deal rather than giving them a headache with broken items. Stay positive! 🙂
