Brad nailer: used thinner 18ga nails (brads) and is more appropriate for thinner and more delicate moulding and trim type applications. Should avoid splitting the delicate materials
Finish nailer: uses larger 15 and 16ga nails and more appropriate for finishing heavier construction work

Last week they had the hammer drill kit and 2 batteries for $20. If you were able to get in on both that's two tools and 5 batteries for a little over $100
