About the deal:
Nickelodeon's Rugrats: The Complete Series (1991) (Digital SD TV Show) is $110.82 lower (84.71% savings) than the regular price of each season purchased separately.
iTunes has the highest streaming bitrate, so its SD stream would be a better quality than all of the above.
I hear that but the source is the source.
You may have been a bit too old. My sister was also your age, and we shared many hobbies. Watched many of the same shows, but Rugrats never caught her while it did so for me (but only the first two seasons and all of the holiday specials, nothing else)
Rugrats did have the most rapid change in direction of any show I've ever seen as a kid because of the creators' divorce (see saberspark's video about rugrats on YT).
First season was more from POV of actual babies doing baby stuff (pottying, shopping, first birthday party, playground, etc.). Also showed more actual struggles of parents. Supposedly this is based on Arlene Klasky's vision for the show.
Second SEASON onwards was more of the babies being anthropomorphized into doing adult stuff, but with a babie's spin (football, racecars, cooking... A COURT TRIAL!?). This is what the husband, Gabor Csupo and his staff wanted.
Personally, I LOVED the second and third season. Animation got alot better, and the jokes were much more mature while still being creative...
My personal fav quotes: "making chocolate pudding at 3am" ...midnight space vixens... "Hello, Dr kavorkian?"
The source is ancient though... No matter where you get it from, it will not translate well. I have the DVD box set that came out last year, and I seriously think that my VHS recordings (both purchased and recorded myself) were better.
BTW, Ren and Stimpy/Rocko/Hey Arnold are definitely my favs of the nicktoons, but Rugrats definitely tickles my nostalgia bone more, esp now that I have my own toddler

I was more of a Ren & Stimpy kid around age 12-13. Honorable mention to Doug. But Rugrats never grabbed me, it felt like it was made for my parents.
Maybe an unpopular opinion in an echo chamber of a thread, but if you haven't seen it, check it out for free first. It's not a hands-down animated classic, more of an acquired taste.

Hi, I know this is an amateur question, but…. If I purchase this deal via iTunes, how will I be able to view it? Must it be viewed only via my iPhone, iPad, Apple computer, or can I somehow transfer it to another media source so I can share it with my adult kids who lived for this show as children?

You have to have a device that can access the "Apple TV" app or through itunes on a computer (assuming any of them do not have apple devices). The full list can be found here: https://www.apple.com/apple-tv-app/devices/

Also on Hulu though the quality of digital transfer is hot garbage. I imagine this not much different.

TLDR: An apple device is needed to both join a family, as well as create one.
So worst case scenario, they need your apple id credentials if they cant join the family.
