I owned one, the light it self was nice. The charging port is tucked underneath which helps the rain stay outzBright even on low setting and battery lasted pretty long. I used it daily for the 3 weeks or so I had it. One day I went to ride and noticed it was barely hanging on to its base and chalked it up to user error thinking maybe I didn't fully latch it back on, even though that's never been an issue with any of my other lights.. fast forward a few days later and on my way to work I pay attention to myself putting it on and clicking it in properly and when I left work I went to turn my light on and apparently it fell off at some point on my commute in

With that said , I'm still kind of tempted to buy it again because I did like the light itself. Maybe I'll just super glue the crap out of it to its base.
How many USB-C rechargeable ones like this are in this price range though? I guess if you only need to use beyond one charge once in a while this is fine with the option to put those in but I guess people expect to be able to have quick charge now.

The headlamp looks nice - detachable, has removeable batteries and rechargeable. I was wondering at the photo on Amazon that says "rechagable OR batteries included" which makes it sound like it may not include both but one review said apparently both regular and rechargable batt. are in there.

Yes, I bought this the last time it was on sale and it comes with batteries and also can be used without the batteries in it at all, once it's charged. It's very bright on the high setting. Even low is pretty bright for use in outdoor settings with no lights nearby. If you select low or medium settings, the next time you turn it on, it defaults to that setting, which I love. I'm glad I purchased it, though I haven't used it as a headband, but clipped to my belt.

I'll reconsider Energizer rechargeables when they get serious about charging and move away from the ever problematic micro-USB charge port. USB-C has been around since 2014.

The head lamp is better than any AA or AAA headlamp you can buy. Brighter and I don't notice any drop in brightness day to day. It's not uncomfortable either.

For my part, the USB C is easier to use, because it connects either way when turned 180 degrees. A pox on whomever designed the earlier USB to only plug one way, lol.

You mean problematic like having to put it in the right orientation that even monkeys and some particularly bright birds can figure out quickly. If that is so tough for you, the batteries must also cause you many problems as they do have a top and bottom.
