Proton discount - no code needed - $4.99/month - 2 year plan

I've been trying to find a good reliable VPN service. I tried ProtonVPN free (not many free VPN services), and it was fast and awesome experience. I was put off by their pricing (a bit high) for full service. They have offered deals, but usually around Black Friday. So I tried NordVPN - I hated it and canceled. I just happened to try ProtonVPN website and surprisingly their prices are discounted (as of today) with no code needed - $4.99/month - 24 months. A bit more expensive than Nord - but still not bad.

So I tried Windscribe to get around an Xbox Code - the speeds were terrible for a Country like Turkey but acceptable - I managed to connect though and it worked. My thoughts - I couldn't get no where near the speeds of Free ProtonVPN. ProtonVPN free is great - many USA locations - a bit less World. I upgraded because of the broader World locations + a supposed much faster speeds - I will test this - if it isn't the case I will raise hell.

I use the free ProtonMail. It's is a great free service. So far I respect Proton. I believe they are trying to make a difference - and they seem legit. Some of the other services seem to have some sort of shady past/corp owners

Maybe because I am a longterm (free) member, not sure they just simply upgraded me at one point

If you're not paying for the product, you are the product. Or rather, your information is the product. How do you think that VPN provider is paying for that expensive infrastructure and bandwidth? By collecting and selling your data. Or worse, by having you install "vpn software" that's actually spyware harvesting your credentials etc. Basically, I doubt there are many (if any) "free" vpn providers that are legit. The only one I can think of is proton, because they use the free tier as a draw to let you experience the service and then purchase the real thing.

Proton VPN is one of the very very few VPN providers that are legit and have been audited by legitimate third parties to not keep logs and collect identifiable information.

You can pay $2 a month for unlimited using the "Build a Plan" option. The best VPN deal, IMO.

Proton VPN does keep logs of your IP address every time you log in. Read the terms of service again.

I cannot find anything in their terms and conditions that confirms your claim: https://protonvpn.com/terms-and-conditions
As well as in privacy policy: https://protonvpn.com/privacy-policy

Both mention the opposite.
