Okay, I'll bite. Who needs this? I have a travel trailer with two lead acid batteries and looking to add 2 to 4 100W solar panels.
Fishing boats. I have 3 batteries on my boat. I have a 3 bank charger 1 bank charges my starting battery, then the other two banks are hooked to my two deep cycle batteries for my trolling motor.
Get home at the end of the day and plug it in. All 3 batteries are charged and maintained.
I had mixed luck with the previous generation of NOCO chargers, but I haven't kept up on the latest generation.
Just remember that it is not a permanent float charger. It will charge for a period and turn off.
It's meant to charge batteries quickly, but not charge something indefinitely.

Are you sure? Its marketed as a battery maintainer.
And the answer to one of the questions seems to indicate that it will maintain the battery with a constant change:

"It charges in stages and ends up in a trickle mode. After some preset time on trickle with no discharge it reverts to an "off" mode, after which it wakes up every 24 hours and checks if battery needs any charging. This should, in theory, add life to a battery that may spend a good deal of time on trickle."

Have you seen an onboard charger for boats? Ideally I just run a low gauge/appliance extension cord to the battery bank. almost like an EV.

I think he is doing this... I know I am. I have a triple bank charger for my 24v trolling motor and the other bank for my starter. I have a duel bank charger hooked up to my single 12v electronics battery. I get home and plug them in... The batteries and chargers stay on the boat
