  • Wired3.5mm (TRS or TRRS S-Balanced) and 2.5mm (TRRS)

Would this pair well with the recent SMSL SU-8s deal? That was a balanced DAC and this balanced amp might fit. I am new to audiophile stuff.

No, this is not audiophile at all... Bluetooth is not "HiFi" to most people. This converts Bluetooth to analog only. And 16 bit at 44.1 or 48kHz is what cheap computer sound cards could do in the 80's-90's. This is not a DAC for you computer, it's a cheap, money grabbing standalone Bluetooth headphone amp. There are no digital inputs, just Bluetooth and apparently from the reviews, not the latest codecs.

Anyone who would want the balanced headphone amp would not want this for Bluetooth functionality only. It would have to be much more robust.

Wow, I couldn't believe this and looked it up myself. The USB-C port is only for charging, Bluetooth is the only digital input. What a weird design decision.

So from what I see here, this is mostly an amplifier, not a DAC. The DAC only works for Bluetooth input. Otherwise, you'll want to use a separate DAC to feed into the rear analog inputs on this.

This was $170 last December on sale for the lowest price at the time. It keeps dropping. if you're patient, it might drop further.
