The two lenses can be sold for $400 after fees on EBay so you're getting the camera for $500.
Not a bad way to get started on Nikon mirror less.
So how do you take pictures without lenses? Asking for real. You'd have to spend $175 or more for even a used FTZ adapter to use non-Z dslr lenses you already have.

They just meant if you already had a compatible lens this was a good way to jump into mirrorless. This is pretty much what I want to do but on a z7 because I already have lenses I'm comfortable using

So you mean if you already have Z-lenses (Nikon mirrorless lenses) already for some reason (why you would I don't know) without a Nikon mirrorless camera?

No, for example I already have a 24-70 and 70-200 for my dslr so I wouldn't want these kit lenses. Therefore I can sell them, buy a ftz adapter and still have a good price on the mirrorless body. But that's only because I already have the lenses obviously

or maybe you have a EF-Z adapter if you happen to have a EF lens maybe?
I have an Olympus E-m5 Mark ii with (9) MFT lenses with (6) being manual focus.
If I get an adapter and use those lenses on this Nikon, what should I expect?
Will it crop the image?
Will it make everything out of focus?
Is this camera a big enough step up in features to make a difference?
Example: Olympus has 16mp or 40mp Hi-res mode* vs Nikon with 21mp.
Does the Nikon z 50 have slow motion capabilities?
My old Nikon J1 has 400 and 1200FPS modes at lower resolutions but none of these higher end cameras seem to be capable of anything above 120fps. Do any of these $750-$2000 cameras have something similar?

Sorry, left out my thinking that I'd buy full frame lenses for it for eventual move to full frame. Or like you said use the ones I have. I don't have much use for the two slow zoom lenses.

Yes exactly, thanks. But the Z6 and Z6II refurbs are also on sale, I think I'd get one of those if going mirrorless. Hard to believe Nikon will make a lot of crop mirrorless lenses.
I'm going to stick with the D7500 until Nikon's mirrorless is more established and cheaper.

Or a person wanting a backup camera, or wanting APSC for more reach, it would be a solid way to get that. Also could be for someone who prefers prime lenses, they can get the camera, sell the kit zooms, then purchase the 28mm or 40mm which are value lenses. There are certainly situations where that works.

Definitely DO NOT get this camera in order to adapt micro 4/3 lenses to it, that would be a terrible idea.
The resolution of the 1200 fps on the Nikon J1 is extremely low though, I'm not sure anyone is offering 1200fps as far as I know.
