no. basic 6 does not have any built in memory. so no music, no maps, no apps. It even had troubles getting some watch faces and even just updating to newer firmware. i bought it for 300 few month ago and returned it in a week. constantly freezing and even screen sucks on it.
=====Update => Screen sucks because it is very pale compared to 6 pro and 6s pro/saphire. Freezing is probably not a good word to describe it, more like just doing everything very slow (going through menus, changing settings, syncing with a phone).
With all that said - for 200$ it is very good fitness tracker watch, if you not planning to do much downloading and use it as is.
Just a comment here.. I'm confused why many of you are even considering a fenix.
I own a 6x fenix Sapphire. I've owned probably half a dozen garmin watches over time.. mostly forerunners.
These watches are for athletic training.. they are not fitness trackers per say. The only reason I bumped up from a Forerunner 645 Music to the fenix was the Open Water swimming activity tracking. You also get some better analytics (which is all configured by firstbeat). This is the difference between most companies and Garmin.. garmin designs to athletic performance while other manufacturers are more generalized.
The real value of Garmin's like this is the training aspect.. measure vo2 max (or at least giving their best guess). Determining how much recovery time you need between workouts.. Essentially pulling all that data together and guiding an individual how to train.
Maybe an example would help..
Currently my fitness level is increasing (vo2 max running and cycling), or at least on a weekly basis I'm on the right track. This is easier said than done. I'm currently in a slight anaerobic shortage, meaning I need to increase my length of intense workouts.. Therefore my focus has been a little swayed to low aerobic and high aerobic recently. Last night I slept a tiny bit over 8hrs, but in general the sleep was not the best b/c I didn't get nearly enough deep sleep. In general the sleep was decent enough not to prolong my recovery time. Recovery time = 4hrs, meaning I theoretically should be waiting a little bit till going at a very intense workout, as my muscles have not fully healed to be battered again.
This is the sorta stuff this watch is designed for. The vast majority of these analytics are designed by a company called firstbeat.
Another interesting example just b/c I'm typing.. My watch didn't alert me, but it clearly picked up I had a viral infection before I even felt anything (about a day before). Looking back I could see it in the details of the stress rating.. Which is really a measure of the variations of one's heartbeat.
Awesome deal! Thanks OP!
I selected the, "deliver today" option and there was a $9.99 charge that was subtracted at checkout so I got free same day delivery. YMMV
Update: Since I haven't heard anything about the order going out for delivery yet, I figured I would look into their same day delivery policy attached to my order. I checked the status of my order and this message was on an information pop up that had to be clicked on to even see, "We've received your order and it's being processed, which could take up to 24 hours. Pre-orders will be processed when available for shipment."
So I guess it may be same day delivery and maybe it will come later? lol not the biggest deal by any means but it would be nice to know when to expect it.
2nd update: it was delivered same day but after waiting most of the day, chatting with customer service online, and calling the store, I was only told that it, "should" be delivered and, "I'm busy so if I have time". I thought that those were pretty bulls*** responses but I can easily see how that would vary from customer to customer or from one store to another. Basically, the same day delivery may or may not be same day delivery. They used Doordash to pick it up and deliver. It just took them 13 hours from the time that I ordered to actually do that and then I got regular updates about the Doordash progress.

Can this store music like the 945 can?
The Fenix 6 only has 64MB of memory, so no room for music. It can control music stored on your smart phone (wrist control while the phone is packed away). Depending on your sport, this may work for you.
Fenix 6 PRO series has 32GB of memory and can store music, but does not appear to be part of this sale.
I don't think the Fenix 6 is that of a great deal it, if you want an expensive fitness tracker sure go for it, but with no onboard storage the choice to download apps watch faces and widgets becomes very limited. The instinct at $99 is a better buy it my opinion, solid no frills fitness tracker.

Gamestop's website gave me a bit of trouble though. Bank declined the transaction as fraud at first.
