I would not call "American Spirit" misleading marketing jargon. The watch is a classic American style.
It's important to remember that Hamilton was founded in Lancaster Pennsylvania in 1892.
Hamilton was an official supplier of timepieces to the US Armed Forces during WW1 and WW2.
A Hamilton aeronautical watch was also present on the first US Airmail service between New York and Washington DC.
Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig along with the rest of the NY Yankees were gifted Hamilton watches in 1928 for winning the World Series.
Elvis Presley wore a Hamilton Ventura.
Hamilton watches appeared in many American movies. Men in Black, Independence Day, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon 4, 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Frogmen.
They didn't relocate to Switzerland until 2003.
The"American Spirit" style pays homage to its heritage and rightfully so.
Just sayin....
People who enjoy the finer things in life and can afford it. Not people like you
I guess I'm one of those old guys who developed the habit of wearing a watch and looking at his wrist to see what time it is. And occasionally the date without it telling me my messages and heart rate and who has liked my latest tik tok post. Watches are probably more for people who care about what THEY are doing rather than seeing WHAT EVERYONE ELSE is doing.

Decent deal for an automatic chrono! Hamiltons are great. Their regular ETA automatics for around $300-350 are a better value I believe though unless you really like the chrono

Nice watch. "American Spirit" and all that, but Hamilton is owned by the Swatch Group, and this watch is made in Switzerland. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing. Just pointing out the potentially misleading marketing jargon.

100% this. The true American Spirit would be to have the watch made by sweatshop children in Bangladesh or Vietnam (Chinese labor is getting expensive) and then stash the profits in Switzerland.

They'll do a better job assembling the small components with their small children hands. Better build quality and cheaper labor means the saving gets passed onto you and me!!!

Nobody gives a second glance to a smartwatch... They're a dime a dozen. Try wearing a nice automatic for a week, you'll never go back.
