I was working on a big review then I realized that this model is different than the one I'm talking about lol. I feel like it still might be helpful since it's a PowerXL product but I'm using the 12 in 1 combo grill seen here: https://powerxlproducts.com/kitch...bo_12-in-1
I've been using this machine for almost two years now. I cook 95% of all of my meals in it. If you are looking for this as a versatile all in one cook machine it is fantastic. I have given up on pots and pans, I hate cleaning them and the disorganized chaos, I only cook in this thing. If you are looking for an air fryer specifically, you could probably get a different machine.
Some thoughts:
- If your mind was blown when you found out you could bake bacon in the oven, you'll be even more impressed when you can just toss in 4 pieces of bacon in this thing, set to air fry to 350 for 15 min, close the lid and forget about it until it beeps. Take out the bacon. THEN, switch it to saute at 300 or lower and then you can fry up eggs and cook them in the bacon grease. The pan will fit 5 large cracked eggs. I used to flip the eggs, but now I just put the lid on and the steam will cook the top of the eggs.
- Sous vide mode is great for making steak at your perfect desired temperature. It takes about 20 min for the water to warm up and then about an hour to sous vide, you could go up to 4 hours if you wanted.
- You can buy a wire basket from their website to allow for circulation underneath the food, it has lift out handles.
Cons:
- Saute mode maxes out at 375, this is "do-able" for steaks but searing on a gas stove or grill is better.
- I have a couple of forearm burns from accidentally touching the side of the pan while cooking in it
- The lid pools water so if you're steaming something you have to be careful cause it can cause popping in oil grease or hot water spills. I've started to avoid this by draining the water onto the lip of the machine and that has helped.
- There doesn't seem to be any temperature monitoring in "bake" mode. So if I spend 20 min to pre-heat to 350 and then accidentally push cancel, you have to pre-heat again even though it's probably up to temp.
With the combo on sale at $89 instead of the $150 I bought it for idk why you would get this air fryer w/ less functionality just to save $35 bucks. Also the grill plate that came w/ my combo is so hard to clean it's pretty unusable. It looks similar to the grill plate on this air fryer model.

I have had mine for a year and love it. It warms up quickly and it reaches higher temps compared to cheaper air fryers.
I will say that it's rather clunky to use since the lid opens up versus the basket style machines. The one drawback is that the nonstick coating on the pot is rather thin and scratches off easily. It also doesn't have a loft out basket so not much air circulates under the food. You'll have to be flipping more often.

Edit: kind of concerned the led screen shows 400 and from I've seen they typically show the max temp in product pics. So, I'm sort of questioning 500.
My other concern is this particular device doesn't seem to have a way to empty basket without an oven mitt. (No handle)
