If you created your account by April 15, 2020 you're grandfathered in and can add any of the Blink devices to your free subscription. If you created your account after April 15, 2020 you are probably using XT2 cameras which don't require a subscription.

What's the difference?
They are much better than Ring in terms of battery life. Had both Ring spotlight and this one. I had to recharge Ring every 2 months, but I haven't changed the blink's 2 AA batteries in a year. They are running great.
Only cons of blink is there app isn't mature as Ring and doesn't integrate with Alexa, Google, etc., to automatically arm the system.
