...for using as a stopgap until Radeon 7000 and RTX 40 release
Let's be honest......we shouldn't be buying gpus now unless they are needed (not wanted) as prices are continuing to fall due to very obvious factors. Low demand from mining crash, flood of used gpu's again from mining crash, over supply by manufacturers and retailers, new models in the wind (might be pushed back to clear out over supply), lower demand from jaded customers, AMD/Nvidia wafer orders for next gen being over estimated (that have already been paid for and TSMC is not changing them), and inflation/energy concerns.
AMD and Nvidia will most likely pull some shenanigans with next gen as demand won't be as high as they hoped and their wafer orders are already set in stone. So there will be an oversupply of dies......what they decide to do with that oversupply will most likely come at the cost of customers.
6500 XT is a cheap and low end card and the 780 Ti was an expensive high end card. 780Ti retailed for around $650.
But 6500XT is better than GTX 1050 TI or GTX 1650. Which is more relevant to buying cards today in this price range.
People can wait for prices to drop and most people should if they're not in an immediate need. But if someoene wants/needs a NEW card today and have less than $200 to spend then I dont' think theres any other better values out there.

The weak side of it is fine with me, I have limited requirements but not at this price point.
