All DRAM-less.
This is a good upgrade if your current laptop/desktop is still using a spinning hard drive.

Dram-less drives are best used for read operations, so fine for general storage and game installs. They typically have shortage life spans than drives with Dram.

Write performance will be weak, so not recommended as your OS install drive (although still better than a hard drive).
If you are upgrading from an hdd, this will be a HUGE improvement. To the point that it will seem like a new laptop. I have used laptops with higher end ssd's and laptops with these type of low end ssd's, and there is no noticeable difference in starting windows or opening programs between the two. Maybe if you are transferring large files you would see a difference, but how often do you really do that?

Would this be a good upgrade to a laptop for general use?

Theses are probably not the best. Faster than a hard drive but slow for an SSD. If you are using it as your boot drive you probably want to spend a little more and get a better SSD.

According to this video, tiny SLC buffer, with write performance quickly dropping to 120 MB/s when SLC buffer is full.

How old is your laptop? Does your laptop use a standard 2.5" drive? Many I see are M.2. Bought a used laptop from my work. Probably 4-5 years old and it used M.2.

Not a terrible choice if you like to keep a large game library.
