No USB 4.0? So many conflicting reports online and this part number doesn't actually show up on Lenovo's website yet haha. Thanks!

Lenovo never claimed to have USB4 in their 2022 Legion 5 Pro AMD version. There is no conflicting report and you can get that simply by looking at the Platform specification of this model which lists all possible configurations.

The Omen 17 with a similar configuration with Intel 12th Gen processor and double the storage is available at microcenter for the same price.

So your statement is completely invalid and unnecessary.
Don't waste your energy on him.

Just get the 2021 version, this is not worth anywhere near $500 over the 5800h/3070 model.

I agree. Price to performance gains don't add up. Seems like price increases with most 2022 models are kinda crazy. The 2021 Legion 5 pro is a bargain at 1399.

Prices will drop. These companies are trying to ride high on the "used to be" chip shortages, etc…

I want new new, but I'll stick with my Legion 17" 5800H/ 3070 I bought for $1150 off SD 😂

Thanks! But this part number doesn't appear in that list. If you do look up this exact part number in another way and click on "machine info," it does show USB 4. https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/e...wseProduct

I've seen it a couple other places listed that way too.

I know right? With commodity prices at record highs, Chinese lockdowns, supply chain issues and inflation continuing to spike laptops should be the one thing that get cheaper...

There are some notable differences here against the $1399 model to eat into that $500 price difference:

6800H vs 5800H processor
150W 3070 Ti vs 140W 3070 GPU
32GB DDR5 vs 16GB DDR4 RAM
1TB vs 512GB SSD

Probably still not $500 worth of upgrades but it's not nothing and it's a year newer...

It's worth about $300 in upgrades alone. Plus the biggest benefit of the 6000 series in a gaming laptop, is the ability to confidently run on battery, plus having the RDNA2 graphics as back up.

Of course if computer won't ever leave your desk, then Intel is definitely best for you, and this model is likely overpriced.

However, it's peace of mind for me having AMD 6000 since I won't think twice to travel with it and use USB C power on the road... In my case, it's worth the extra $$, and not need an ultrabook. Have a tablet when I don't need to bring a computer at all.

I don't understand...this will not run very long on battery, just because it runs longer than intel it still has low battery life compared to sensible laptops made to last on battery
