The Creality store currently has a sale for their Halot One resin 3d printer (mSLA printer), which now costs $188 instead of $289.
Compared to other entry level resin printers, the Halot One is a bit more modern. Also the print speed is quite good because it has a special monochrome display which passes through more light than a RGB display like you find it in your phone, so the exposure time can be shorter. The Halot One is equipped with an air filtration system and a 2K display. The print volume is 5"x3.15"x6.3".

Specifications:
  • 405nm LED strip also
  • Monochrome 5,96" display, 2K resolution (2560x1620)
  • Build volume 127x80x160mm / 5"x3.15"x6.3"
  • Layer height 0.01-0.2mm
  • Z-axis with a linear rail
  • Integral light source, 20W, >80% evenness
  • 5" touch screen for control
  • USB flash drive, Creality Cloud, Halot Box Wifi
  • Supported slicing software: ChituBox, Halot Box, Lychee
  • Wifi for OTA updates
  • Air filtration
Some notes:
When should you get a FDM (filament) 3d printer and what are resin printers good for? Filament printers are better suited for bigger prints. Also the filament is cheaper per volume than the resin (resin costs around $20 per 1kg bottle, for example $19.80 per bottle from Sunlu with the Sunlu10Off coupon, that's what I use most of the time). However resin printers offer a much higher resolution. So they are best suited for miniatures, jewelry or small mechanical parts with tight tolerances. In my opinion resin printers are easier to operate, since there is only one main parameter that has to be tuned, the exposure time. Leveling the build platform is also easier than leveling a print bed of a FDM printer without auto bed leveling. The only downside is that you have to handle the resin (keep it away from children and pets) and the post processing that is required.

So what else do you need in order to post process the prints? First they need to be washed, usually with IPA but there are also water washable resins. This removes the excess resin from the surface. If you would skip this step it wouldn't look nice after curing (the next step). So while curing you expose the print to 405nm light, like the printer uses it to expose the prints. This finally hardens the surface.
There are wash and cure machines available, they start at around $90 and do the whole process. However you can also just use any container with IPA (or water if the resin is water washable). For curing you can use a cheap 405nm LED strip or a nail polish dryer, or just put the print out in the sun, but then you need to turn the print manually so all sides get exposed.

If you want a slightly bigger printer with a higher resolution, the Halot One Pro [creality.com] is also on sale for $298.
