Decent deal considering this model mower is really new and there haven't been any other discounts so far. Although, I noted this mower was once priced at $1,099 earlier in the season and is now $999 retail at the Home Depot near me. I think Milwaukee is not selling as many of these mowers as they hoped for, so the price seems to have dropped and now we have this deal here as well. I think if we can wait the Milwaukee mower will be even cheaper as we get towards the end of the season. Everything I have seen online indicates this is a terrific and powerful mower.

Not from what I've read. There are a lot of complaints of it just shutting off. All the negative reviews basically say the same thing. You can get a much cheaper and maybe better battery powered mower for much less. Me personally I went back to a high-end Honda gas mower after using battery for a few years. I would personally get the high end Honda and still have $200-$300 left over.

There's no question there are other mowers that are a better value than this one, especially if you go gas, including even the high end Honda mowers. Nearly all battery mowers are also cheaper than this and provide better value. But from what I've seen this is supposed to be a great mower that doesn't choke up on even thick grass, but it's grossly overpriced.

Yeah, hopefully they will get the quirks out and lower the price even more eventually. Who knows, I may end up getting one in the future.
My buddy got this one and he swears by it. Said that it went through knee-deep grass with no issues whatsoever. He got it from HD when it first came with 10% off coupon and additional 11% rebate so about $950 after tax.
Agree, this is grossly overpriced unless you're really madly in love with "Team Red"

ZERO chance it went the knee high grass without an issue. Most gas mowers won't do that.

This mower may not be ready for prime time yet. More than a few bad reviews on it. Just shutting down.
I ordered a used one off eBay without batteries (already have multiple 12 amp batteries) or accessories a while back for a third of the price, the description said it shut off after a few minutes. The research indicated a bent pin in the power button on the handle would work loose and shut off. So I placed a spring clip on the button when using it, and it hasn't shut off at all. It works flawlessly. One can disassemble the button and repair the pin but the large spring clip does the job just fine.

Wow. You took a chance on being able to fix that, sight unseen? I'm really glad it worked out for you. That's good to know. Thanks for the info.

It helped my gas mower started crapping out this year. Yes, that is the only problem that's cropped up in the Milwaukee mower reviews, everything else works as advertised. Power buttons and switches always seem to be a weak point on tools, and a first point of failure short of water damage. The pictures showed a new looking mower and when it arrived it looked like it had been used once from the light grass stains on the undercarriage.

Lol, may be exaggerating a bit and he is pretty short guy but the mower is really nice, never less, much better than EGO that I have

I like Milwaukee and the thought of M18 compatibility does appeal in theory, but this ain't it.
