Since these things are basically not user-upgradeable, I need 1 TB storage.

It seems for the newest 7th gen Lenovo 9i the choice is between either a 1TB SSD and a 2.2k screen or a 512GB SSD and a 4k OLED screen. Me personally, I'd prefer the bigger SSD and the lower resolution screen since a 4k screen is going to eat battery faster and the 2.2k version of the screen has 90hz refresh rate, but unfortunately that version is not on sale.

You know it incorrectly. There is a 2.8K 90Hz OLED panel option and that has been posted in SD couple of times. Right now, it is priced very high due to stock issue. Have you checked the Lenovo store?

The SSD is pretty much user upgradable. Don't jump to conclusion without doing a bit of research. And normally, apart from some very specific devices, Storage is upgradable in almost all laptops and 2-in-1 devices.

Yeah when I said 2.2k screen I meant the 2.8k one. That's the one I'd prefer. Yeah I saw it in the store but the coupon doesn't work for it.

Thoughts on this vs Macbook Air/Pro if I care about thermals, longevity, and battery life?
