That said, a 12th gen i7 H series CPU, RTX 3060 and 16GB DDR5 is not bad at all in this price range. Self-cleaning fans, TB4, WiFi 6 and BT 5.2 are a nice bonus on top.

If you decide to dig up further information, look for lengthy benchmarks, otherwise you'll be seeing unsustainable turbo boost figures.

Per ASUS's post on the question section "The TGP on the RTX 3070 GPU is 115 watts and dynamic boost is 25 watts."
I just got it from Best Buy when it was on sale for for $1300. Did I get ripped off?
Use case is engineering school - CAD software, Matlab, etc.. Monitor wasn't critical, but weight was a big factor.

If you're planning to use external monitor, don't get a thermally choked low wattage chassis such as the tuf dash, the 144hz display is the most popular, Asus and MSI are most famous for using horrific displays

The wattage is the same as the 3060 as far as I know, quite low, which display, 300hz? I wouldn't recommend this chassis, it just does not have a good history
144hz. But what about the 8Gb VRAM? Doesn't that also help?
