not only a mere 60 day unlock policy, but an automatic unlock that requires no action on the part of the user. and it even unlocks 60 days after your initial activation if you don't renew for a second month... you just have to wait it out the second month. and unlike android phone, iphone's report the unlock status as seen under settings-general-about-carrierlock. it will either report "sim locked" or "no sim restrictions" (aka "unlocked").

For my wife's iPhone SE activated in May, it was already unlocked after 6 weeks when she checked it. Although it was new, not reconditioned, so definitely activated after the Nov 2021 policy change.
I bought a reconditioned phone with this deal, it is in great shape. I activated it Aug 10. Phone settings show that the warranty expires next month (9/2022), so not sure which unlock policy will apply to it. Will have to wait and see.

Edit: NM, I see the thread about the unfulfilled orders for the iPhone 11.
