I wouldn't take for free. Last 3 dell generations have been born to be junk, 1 issue after another. This is like 6 generations old. Antique!

I think you lost your count because last time I checked Dell is still on 11th Gen. and these laptops are on 6th-7th Gen. So, 4 generations old but don't forget you are also paying 1/4th of the original price!

I'd move up to the Latitude 7490 they're selling (code: BTS7490DELL). It's not much more money and you'll get a quad core CPU which is compatible with Windows 11 if that is of interest.

That's definitely the biggest driver for this price discount. Windows 11 could certainly be installed on these devices, but the lack of support for an automatic Windows 11 upgrade is finally starting to create a big gap in pricing in the used PC market (now that the used PC market is starting to normalize).

These are far from junk, but they're also not the best kind of Dell refurb deal. Of particular impact to the value of the deal, beyond the lack of automatic Windows 11 upgrade eligibility, are the fact that all the systems in this offer incorporate 2-core i-series CPUs instead of the 4-core models that typically make for solid long-term workhorses.

WOW is there a thread started for those 7490 models? If not, there should be! Those are indeed what everyone should be buying in Dell refurbs, the kind of solid PC that answers yes to the series of "will this play Roblox/Minecraft/be good for a grade school student/etc." The price was only $50 more than the 7480 in this deal when I tossed one into my cart and used the code you referenced.
