Something to consider if you eat a lot of freeze dried packaged meals when camping (ie. Mountain House and the like) is to get a longer handle spoon so it's easier to stir and scoop the food out of the bag.

I found with a regular size spoon it would get pretty messy.

Yes as long as it's not same name.

Another thing to consider if you eat a lot of freeze dried packaged meals, is that paying this much for a spork is probably a reasonable thing.

If you're bringing along a spork somewhere you're probably also likely to have a tool with screwdrivers and bottle openers and probably wouldn't need to use your cutlery for that… and there are nicer sporks I'd rather eat off from most camping stores. I have titanium Snow Peak sporks with long and short handles and each was about ten bucks at the time. Can't seem to find the long handled ones online right now though…

I have to agree about the Snow Peak spork. I've had one kicking around my bag over the past four years for surprise-snacks and it has never disappointed. Simple, functional, and adds almost no weight. The color scratches off, though, so a plain titanium-colored one would probably be better for heavy use. Didn't know they made long-handled ones...

I think I'd just pack a fork, spoon and knife and save $10 myself. But what's slickdeals without odd things to coax us into buying eh?

Using a spoon while camping? You must be city folk! I bet you pack toilet paper too!
