What exactly was changed
From Amazon review pictures, they redesigned the output vent to direct upward instead of straight out(blows dust you are trying to vacuum) . Not sure if there where any other changes.

Got this in June from Walmart and the vent is next to the usb charger like the photo. Never had the previous version to compare. Useful for cleaning my desk but not strong enough for carpet in the car.

should you be able to go to the store for an exchanged due to wrong item shipped?
I bought a mothers carpet cleaning brush to run through my car's carpet to basically lift the smaller pieces of debris and thereafter use this vacuum and it picks up essentially everything.
