For people with allergies, higher FPR is better. However ask any HVAC tech and the answer will be lower FPR is better for your A/C system and if allergies are a big deal then get a standalone air purifier(s).

Depends on the ductwork and sizing TBH. If it was designed to have a MERV 11 or even higher you're fine. If it's an older system I can almost guarantee it can't and will run longer and possibly ice up. The safe bet is a MERV 8 pleated filter as all modern systems the last 20 years should handle that and if not you've got issues. Never run the cheap poly or fiberglass filters if you have AC as they don't block squat and you'll eventually get build up on the AC coil. If your AC guy recommends them fire them.

Wasn't working if I had it shipped. Deal only worked for the 4 ("best" quality one) if I did in-store pickup: $26.xx. Switches to $36+ if I ship even though it says shipping is free!

I ordered 4 superior for like 38 bucks after tax cause they showed 50% off then asked myself why I'd buy those over the three pack standard ones for 3 dollars a piece….anyone have any information on if the difference in filtration/air quality is noticeable to the average person or if this is just a money grab…
