I saw this earlier and almost bought it and posted the deal on here but man it's got a lot of bad reviews saying the screen and housing separated/came unglued.
Yea...the Gateways are notorious at this point with great on paper specs, but poor build quality everywhere else with low end components that overheat/break. Even the IPS screen is not that great. Cheap for a reason and ya get what you pay for. Some will find it servicable regardless...specs are good

I have the Gateway 15.6" version with 256GB SSD; all other specs look very similar. CPU might be a little different. Still Intel i5.
While I haven't had any issues with the screen/housing becoming separated, I have experienced: bad touchpad (doesn't always register taps/presses); poor quality screen (quite dim, colors are not that vibrant); bad sound (says speakers are "tuned by THX", they should be ashamed if they did that!); flimsy housing (if you lift the open laptop with one hand, the plastic is so cheap it feels like it will snap in half -so use two hands!); and when opening/closing laptop display/lid, the hinges buckle a bit. It's like they are too big for the case. It looks like they will pop out of the case, but so far mine have stayed intact. Bad battery life; maybe 3.5 hours of runtime. And the thing is damn heavy. Feels like it weighs 6 pounds. Very loud fan, seems to be too small to effectively cool the laptop. Fan runs way too often and makes too much noise (needs a better cooling solution). USB-C port is data *only* (no power charging). I have seen conflicting data on this for various Gateway models, so not sure which really support it (my product listing page at Walmart said it did; it was wrong).
Good points: Easy to add more SSD storage: There is a M.2 SATA3 SSD slot on the bottom of mine (unfasten two screws and you could easily slide in additional storage; 512GB M.2 SATA SSDs are about $35, 1TB, ~$60). Seamless upgrade to Windows 11. Excellent fingerprint reader. Able to dual boot and run both Windows 11 and Ubuntu (Linux) with no issues whatsoever.
The keyboard is only OK. I would not rate it good or bad. It's just average.
In summary I think the laptop is one of the lowest quality units you could buy. I think nearly everyone else makes a better product (Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, etc.). This will get the job done but you will not have fun doing it!
