Funny, somebody was asking me about knife storage and I took a quick look on C&M as well as Amazon, and found this on Amazon... 20 slots, solid wood (may not be solid Acacia, but should be solid wood - not clear from info on Amazon), and it was only $23. Took a look at the Camel and noticed it's only about 82 cents off its all time low going back to 2019. With free shipping on something this heavy and large, it seems like a very good deal to me. Plenty of room for (normal) expansion.

4.7 Stars on Amazon with over 5k reviews...

But mixed in with the pee stained clothes
That's why I don't put my knives in them until after I clean them.

I don't mean to slam you. I just think that famous cooks get a little over eager with their life-hacks.

Wouldn't bamboo version make it less durable and susceptible to breaks like the chopping board? 🤔

I've never understood the appeal of blocks like this ever since Alton Brown pointed out that you can basically never clean the interiors.

What is a good alternative? With the way my condo kitchen is designed, I have limited draws. Actually only 1 usable draw. Dont have a lot of kitchen space living in the city. I can do without the steak knives, only need 1 or 2 at most at any given time.

There's stuff like this if you need the block form factor for space or other reasons (the insert can be taken out and washed): https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MQW7KJE

magnetic bar or magnetic knife blocks are usually preferred for cleanliness, I just took delivery on a Japanese gyuto today and in the market for magnetic blocks
