I've been looking for a deal on these Five Ten Freerider Pro Mountain Bike Shoes for many weeks now (and NOT the Primeblue version, which many say is not nearly as good as these).. but REALLY wanted the white on black version and haven't been able to find it for less than $125 with shipping (normal retail is $149)... promised myself I'd pull the trigger as soon as I found a deal below $100- which happened today :-)

Of course, not all sizes/colors are available but as of today- there are a ton of options (especially compared to other sites which have like one or two sizes).

I bought a pair of Five Ten shoes that fell apart the 3rd time I wore them and they refused to do anything about it. Serious quality and customer service issues. I'll never buy anything Five Ten again (or Adidas for that matter since they own Five Ten now).

Bummer that was your experience! I went into REI the other day and tried them on- they felt like a super solid shoe to me... they must be having some serious QA issues if yours fell apart and that really sucks they didn't stand by their product!

Thanks. Yeah I was really surprised. I even talked to two different people in customer support and no luck.

Well, again- that sucks. I hope I don't have the same issues (fingers crossed- and I shouldn't have to rely on luck, lol). But I'm curious- what shoe did you then choose to go with (just in case my finger crossing isn't effective)?

I rode with a pair of standard Freeriders for a few years and picked up a pair of Pros during one of the $75 deals a couple of years ago. Honestly I find their feel on the trail pretty similar. The Pros are supposed to be a bit stiffer but it's not that noticeable to me. The uppers on the Pro do handle water better than the standard Freeriders though, so it's worth the difference if you ride in the wet a lot. If not, I wouldn't really bother.
