    Superb deal on a decent 2-person backpacking tent. I have used ALPS tents in the past and found them well made and durable. This certainly isn't going to win the lightest award for a 2-person but for $65 is a steal.

    Ive got the older model (rust and orange cor) in 1 man, 1 man and 4 man. Great tents for the price, not my backpacking setup but rather for car, bicycle and moto camping.

    Instant tents weight more, do not pack up as small, and have sewn in poles that are a PITA when they break.

    Clips are on the outside on this one, which make it much easier to set up than the traditional style of having to insert thru a sleeve.

    I find dealing with the long poles and clips annoying. my 4P Coleman sundome isn't difficult either but when my buddy can have his instant tent up in seconds, why bother with poles? I car camp so the weight doesn't matter to me. Just my opinion and preference - next tent will be an instant one.
