Benchmade mini freek carbon fiber in s90v is about 80 dollars less than other retailers. Like most blade hq sales, price of $199 will show after adding to cart and starting the checkout process.
I carry the full size Freek. It became my favorite knife the moment it hit my hands. The feel is amazing. Interested to see how the smaller size translates, but with it was the same m4 steel.
should i get this or the cf bug out? going to be my first benchmade
They both have the same build materials, with the mini freek costing $80 less right now. I don't have the mini freek yet (on its way 🙂), but the Bugout has great action and literally disappears in your pocket, can't even feel it's there.

with the bugout disappearing in your pocket already, would you say the mini bugout is too small?

Check out the pictures in this forum. They compare regular bugout vs mini freek. Don't have a mini bugout. But it all depends on taste. By no means an expert, but maybe more knowledgeable fellow SD'rs can chime in.
is this a good knife for everyday carry for a first time knife buyer?
Im a buy once cry once buyer and like to get something that I won't need/want to upgrade later
Or should I hold out for something else? Recommendations/suggestion would be greatly appreciated
Hogue Deka Wharncliffe - thank me later - all jokes aside, knives are incredibly personal and circumstance specific, go try and few out in the hand and decide for yourself

It all depends on personal preference. Both are nice. I prefer the mini bugout for daily carry.
Also check out the knife laws in your area. The mini will be legal in more areas due to shorter blade length.

I wouldn't get the mini. The regular is so light that there's no way you'll feel like you're carrying too much knife.
