Are those release dates? Does that matter for hardware revision or battery freshness?

I have used several of these for the last 10 years or so. I currently have the black one and it is a serious fingerprint magnet, so I'm buying the white version to replace it. If you're considering the black version, be aware that fingerprints are significantly more visible on it.
I know people knock on these for ergonomics, but I've tried several keyboards and mice over the years, and keep coming back to the Magic Keyboard and the Magic Mouse combo for comfort. I personally find them really comfortable to use, but of course everybody is different. I used to have so much wrist pain early in my programming career, but in the last 10 years have had none using these ultra low-profile devices.
I tried the Magic Trackpad 2, and it was nice, but that strangely gave me wrist pain (even though the built-in laptop one doesn't), so I sold it off and I'm back to the trusty Magic Mouse.
Basically, it's a touch surface over a mouse, and the bottom is pressure sensitive at multiple points.
Not my cuppa tea
The magic trackpad is head over heels awesome and put a deathadder v2 with that and pointing is great for any mac or PC.
Agree with not being ergonomic. I tried and didn't quite like it. Not everyone's cup of tea
Who signed off on a computer mouse that needs to be flipped upside down to charge?
Why is apple still selling electronics with the outdated lightning connector in 2022?
