In all seriousness yes of course they have a pr department making it all look better than it probably is.
The best part of Patagonia is that they will buy back your old patagonia clothes (to recycle) once they get ripped and gross for a decent price so they will always be my favorite from a slick deal perspective. Buy the quality $100 jacket and you can recycle it back for $30 10 years from now....
I think Patagonia's website has mentioned that they are not completely ethical in all of their production, but work towards that goal. They are pretty transparent of the limitations of their ethical goals.
